Using Studio you can use the 'new' Impressions or open the 'old' Impressions 2 plugin. I'm using the 'new' Studio and my old presets from Impressions are picked up by Impressions within Studio.

Having them all interface via studio should make their job easier. Keeping so many plugins married up to the changes in the editors has to be difficult. However, Studio has both private and public presets like before so this may not be an issue. Your point about what happens with presets if a plugin is incorporated into Studio may be an issue. Your current presets are accessible in Studio via the plugin. I think that Studio is nothing more than a consistent interface for their plugins that will allow them to maintain a more constant environment for their plugins as Photoshop, Lightroom and other editors evolve. It would be interesting to hear from someone using an editor that works well with ProPhoto RGB. The Topaz folks have indicated that other color profile choices will be available eventually. In the meantime, I'm back to converting my NEFs & ORFs in their respective programs (ViewNX 2 for the D7000, OV3 for the PEN-F). VNX2: rumors of it's death may be premature! ) I'll have to wait and see how it prints out on my visually-color-profiled monitor the converted file looks better. (I just tried ViewNX2 as a converter from the ProPhoto TIFF to Adobe RGB TIFF, and it worked. My conversions to aRGB are done either in Affinity Photo or Zoner Photo Studio 18. So far I don't like ProPhoto for printing.

So after editing in Studio, I save both a TIFF for future editing plus a JPEG for printing (via Qimage Ultimate). My workflow from cameras to printing is in AdobeRGB. It will do RAW conversions, but the only save options are for TIFF in ProPhoto RGB or JPEG in sRGB. Studio works like a charm - but RAW conversion at least for Panny bodies is nearly unusable (color mess) Generally I use for photography purposes Clarity/Detail/curves/Noise reduction + plus some basic ones, for graphic art Texture/Impression/Glow/Lens effects and Restyle. In latest version (1.3+) there is possibility to save you work as a project file (all plugins, all settings and all masking) so you can continue your work tomorrow or next week if you like. center point mode adding color sensitivity mode and on top of that e.g. One very important imrovement over original plugins are its masking capabalities - they really shine - and masks can be transfered from one plugin to another one plus - they are capable to start in e.g. Algorhytms are way faster than in original plugins - however as all corrections work in real time it is quite demanding on computer power. I strongly prefer Studio because all you corrections are "live" which means if you set some settings too much and have to reduce another reated item elsewhere (tyically NR vs Sharpening) you can do it in one step. I have all their plugins and now Photo studio.
